Some of the most famous actresses aren’t the best of course; in fact, some of the most famous Hollywood actresses around the world have poor acting skill and rarely do well in movies. High grossing actresses like Sigourney Weaver and Meryl Streep are known for their astounding roles in movies. Sigourney Weaver just received major reviews for her role in Avatar, and continues to impress fans around the world with her superior acting.

While fame and good acting are part of the package, it isn’t everything. Some stars fall into the trap of drugs and alcohol, and ruin their reputation as a great actress. These women are usually the younger ones in Hollywood, and rarely resurrect their acting career. Lindsay Lohan is one of such starlets that went down the wrong path.

Abigail Breslin and Dakota Fanning are the most recognizable young actresses today. Both of them are astoundingly talented and have performed in numerous mature roles. Despite their age, both display emotion and ideas quite well on screen.

Generally speaking, famous actresses are divided into two main groups. There are the older actresses that have starred in some of the most well known roles around the world. The other actresses are younger, and stylish, but equally as famous. It doesn’t make them any less of a good actress just because they are younger, but it does restrict the roles they may play.
